XFL Week 8: Las Vegas Outlaws vs LA Xtreme

XFL Week 8: Las Vegas Outlaws vs LA Xtreme
The Los Angeles Xtreme (6-2) needed a win over the Las Vegas Outlaws Saturday night in front of 20132 at the Los Angeles Coliseum to clinch its first playoff birth in team history. The Xtreme did just that handing the Outlaws a 35-26 defeat to sweep the season series with its division rival. Tommy Maddox threw for four touchdowns in the first half as the Los Angeles Xtreme defeated the visiting Las Vegas Outlaws, 35-26, last night to clinch a berth in the XFL playoffs. Maddox had thrown at least one touchdown pass in his last five games and in every game through eight weeks of the season except one. Ironically enough, the last time Maddox failed to throw a touchdown pass in a game was against the Outlaws in week three. At 10:21 in the second quarter, Tommy Maddox threw his first interception in 107 attempts spanning the last four games. Maddox was picked off by the Outlaws' Joe Tuipala. Maddox, who lead the XFL in interceptions with seven, had not thrown an interception in h! is last three games. The Xtreme scored its first 12 points of the game off of Outlaw turnovers. Ricky Parker recovered the a fumble on the opening kickoff to set the Xtreme's first touchdown of the game-a 10-yard touchdown pass from Tommy Maddox to Jeremaine Copeland. The Outlaws entered the game allowing a league low of just 11 points per game. The Outlaws left LA having had that average balloon to 19 points per game.

Ann Dee - The Sun In My Life [Lyrics]

Ann Dee - The Sun In My Life [Lyrics]
Ann Dee, born Angela Maria De Spirito, a singer and San Francisco club owner who helped boost the careers of Johnny Mathis and other entertainers. During that period, she became better known as the owner of Ann's 440 Club in San Francisco's North Beach area, where she showcased young singers and comedians. In 1955, she hired a 19-year-old named Johnny Mathis after hearing him sing in a bar just two weeks into his professional career. Dee also gave early exposure to entertainers Lenny Bruce, Fran Jeffries, TC Jones and Charles Pierce. By the 1960s, Dee was recording for Capitol Records and had long engagements at such venues as Ye Little Club in Beverly Hills. A Los Angeles Times writer, reviewing her performance at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in 1973, praised her as "a sophisticated singer with a big, belting voice, fine vocal technique and great interpretive skill." He called her delivery of "Free Again" a "masterpiece of irony" and her singing of "Send in the Clowns" an exa! mple of "pure class." Dee died March 22 at her home in Joshua Tree, Calif., of unspecified causes. She was 85. Dee is survived by a brother, Lee De Spirito. ...................................................................................... Lyrics_ The Sun in my life is a must _It's something that I've learned to trust _It's something to warm your body and your brain _Down comes the Sun like a flame _And then one day _Down comes the rain _And when my Sun isn't here _The sad days the grey days appear ...
