On the 24th, the CCP mouthpiece media took an excerpt of Zhou's speech from last month in which he said he will firmly support the central government and Hu Jintao in the first training course for the Political and Law Committee secretaries. His old speech was published once again that it seems they want to stop Zhou from being implicated by Bo Xilai and from being subject to a purge. The outside world thinks that, due to the events of 'Wang, Bo and Zhou' have disrupted the pattern of the CCP's infighting, the CCP has to focus on maintaining stability before the 18th congress. On 24th April, the CCP's media mouthpiece, 'People's Daily' published Zhou's lengthy speech about the first training course for the Political and Law Committe! e secretaries on 26th March. In his speech, he asked political units at all levels to support the CCP's Central Committee and to implement the policy of Hu Jintao. 'BBC Chinese Net' published an article stating that because of Bo's incident, the CCP indeed investigated Zhou. He also confessed within the party. But currently the CCP aimed at maintaining stability and does not want to take action against Zhou before the 18th congress.
